Research & Usability:
Role: I worked as a UX/UI Designer for wlw.de and Visable.com, a B2B platform that connects businesses with suppliers across various industries. My role focused on enhancing the user experience, optimizing site functionality, and ensuring seamless interactions for professionals seeking the right suppliers.
I began with in-depth user research and usability testing to uncover the specific needs and pain points of B2B users, which informed my design strategy. A major project involved redesigning the site’s information architecture to help users quickly and easily find the products or services they needed.
I also enhanced the platform’s advanced search functionality by implementing tailored filters, enabling users to efficiently pinpoint relevant suppliers and products. To boost engagement, I optimized call-to-action buttons and streamlined the inquiry process, simplifying lead generation. Additionally, I ensured the platform was fully responsive by delivering assets to front and backend developers, guaranteeing seamless performance across desktop and mobile devices.
These improvements increased user satisfaction, reduced bounce rates, and boosted lead conversions by simplifying the inquiry and response process. I also introduced and maintained new B2B-focused features based on insights from design-thinking workshops, keeping the platform aligned with user needs and evolving industry trends.
During our research, we discovered that the ‘company profile page’ on wlw.de can be accessed through several user journeys:
1. Search Engine Results Page (SERP): This includes both the unified search and the older search system (while the best approach is still being determined).
2. Direct Access via Google: Users may arrive at the company profile directly from search engines.
3. Product Detail Page: Users navigating through product details can also reach the company profile.
We considered how the visual design aligns across these journeys and whether the appearance of the company profile pages could adapt based on the entry point.

Stepping back to think strategically about the direction we want to take with the UI. Some things that are to be considered:
We should follow Material Design guidelines in the future?
What would the "ideal" state-of-the-art UI for wlw.de look like (WIP)?
The pages are functional but far from perfect, and aligning on a clear vision might help us move forward more effectively.
